Ranger Danger..!

I was absolutely delighted to see my article, ‘Are you being tick aware?’ featured in the Autumn edition of the Chiltern Rangers newsletter this week!

Rangers and outdoor-based volunteers are exactly the type of people who are potentially exposed to ticks and I wanted to do my bit to help raise awareness about tick prevention and highlight the simple steps which volunteers can take to avoid picking up tick bites while working outdoors.

The Chiltern Rangers work with local communities to provide practical habitat management in Bucks and the wider Chilterns. They do an amazing job managing 13 nature reserves and helping conservation and local authority partners with habitat management. They achieve all of this with the help of volunteers!

The work carried out by volunteers, like the Chiltern Rangers, is vital to local communities and so we can’t let a few nasty ticks put us off but we can make sure everyone is ‘tick aware’!
